HomePool Terms of Use — Early Release
Rules for using the HomePool marketing site and early-release household money application.
Last updated 24 September 2026These terms are an early-release HomePool draft and are separate from FlowDesk. They are designed around HomePool's current product and should receive independent legal review before paid general availability, particularly the final operator identity, governing law, subscription/cancellation mechanics and country-specific consumer terms.
1. Agreement and eligibility
By using HomePool you agree to these Terms, the HomePool Privacy Policy and the Financial & AI Disclaimer. You must be at least 18, or the age required to enter into a binding contract where you live, and have authority to create or participate in the household you join.
2. Early-release service
HomePool is in early release. Features, integrations, plan entitlements and availability may change as the product develops. HomePool may test, modify, limit or withdraw preview functionality, but will not use this clause to remove rights that cannot lawfully be excluded.
3. Accounts and security
You are responsible for providing accurate registration information, protecting your login methods, keeping your contact details current and promptly reporting suspected unauthorised access. Do not share credentials or attempt to access another member's private information outside the permissions HomePool provides.
4. Household information and member responsibilities
A HomePool household can contain shared and private financial information. Each member is responsible for choosing appropriate privacy/sharing settings for information they own or add. You must have permission to enter another person's personal information and must not use household features to monitor, coerce or expose another person without lawful authority.
5. Your data and content
You retain your rights in information you submit. You give HomePool the limited rights needed to host, process, back up, display to authorised household members, calculate results from, and otherwise use that information to provide and secure the service. You are responsible for ensuring you have the right to upload files, comments, transaction data and other content you submit.
6. Connected banking and third-party services
Connected banking is optional and available only in supported regions/providers. HomePool does not ask for your bank password. Where Australian Open Banking is enabled, the Basiq-hosted consent flow and applicable CDR notices govern the authorised data sharing. Third-party providers may have separate terms and privacy policies. Bank/transaction feeds can be delayed, incomplete or changed by the provider, so important balances and payment obligations should be verified with the relevant institution.
7. Plans, subscriptions and payments
If HomePool offers a paid plan, the checkout/account flow must clearly show the plan, currency, billing frequency, minimum total price where required, trial terms (if any), whether the subscription renews automatically, the renewal price or basis for calculating it, taxes and how to cancel before a charge is accepted. Payment/subscription processing may be provided by Paddle or another identified provider.
Cancellation stops future renewal in accordance with the cancellation instructions shown for the subscription; it does not automatically create a refund for past service. Refunds and remedies remain subject to mandatory consumer law and any additional checkout/provider terms. Nothing in these Terms excludes Australian Consumer Law consumer guarantees or other rights that cannot legally be excluded.
8. Acceptable use
You must not misuse HomePool, bypass security or privacy controls, probe or disrupt the service without authorisation, upload malicious code, scrape at harmful scale, impersonate another person, use the service unlawfully, submit content that infringes another person's rights, or use HomePool to facilitate fraud, abuse or coercive financial control.
9. Forecasts, financial tools and Luna
Safe to Spend, cash-flow forecasts, debt projections, reports, hardship tracking and AI responses are decision-support tools based on data and assumptions. They are not guaranteed outcomes and are subject to the Financial & AI Disclaimer. HomePool is not providing personalised financial, credit, investment, tax, legal or accounting advice through those tools.
10. Intellectual property and comparison content
HomePool's branding, software, interface and original content are protected by applicable intellectual-property laws. Third-party product names on the comparison page belong to their respective owners and are used for factual identification/comparison only. No affiliation, endorsement or sponsorship is implied.
11. Service availability
HomePool aims to provide a reliable service but cannot guarantee uninterrupted availability. Maintenance, third-party outages, internet failures, banking-provider changes and early-release defects can affect availability. Where law permits, HomePool is not responsible for loss caused solely by a user's failure to verify a critical payment, balance or deadline with the authoritative provider.
12. Suspension, closure and data access
HomePool may restrict or suspend an account where reasonably necessary for security, fraud prevention, legal compliance or serious/repeated breach of these Terms. Where practical and lawful, HomePool will provide notice and a reasonable opportunity to address the issue. Account closure/deletion and export options will be handled in accordance with the product's available controls, the Privacy Policy and applicable law.
13. Liability and mandatory rights
Nothing in these Terms excludes, restricts or modifies any guarantee, right or remedy that cannot legally be excluded. To the maximum extent permitted by law, HomePool is provided on an early-release basis and HomePool excludes liability for indirect or consequential loss that is not reasonably foreseeable, while preserving liability that law does not allow to be excluded or limited.
14. Changes
HomePool may update these Terms when the product, law or business model changes. Material changes will be notified where required. Continued use after an effective update means the updated Terms apply, except where applicable law requires express agreement.
15. Governing law and contact
The final operator legal entity and governing-law clause will be completed before paid general availability. Mandatory consumer protections in a user's jurisdiction continue to apply regardless of any future governing-law clause. Questions about these Terms can be sent through HomePool Support.
